3.The Bio of Wooguru Kw & Contact Info.

Wooguru Kw is a dancer, a choreographer, and a movement analyst, developing a new physical education/ training method focused on biomechanics, called “FREE FLOW: physicality toward musicality” which is for the actualization of the total freedom of the individual body and its integrity by maximizing the physiological rhythmicality and musicality, in which the body continuously generates with its spontaneous movements.

His method has been presented in the GTF symposium 2018: German Association for Dance Science at the Karlsruhe Tech Institute, the seminar of the Lithuanian Association for Quality Management and Innovation in 2018 at Vilnius University, and the colloquium of the research base of the Won Buddhist Thought 2017 at Wonkwang University. Furthermore, his educational project focused on dance practice has been conducted in the geopolitical context of overcoming the fear of being oneself in the countries classified as buffer states; Latvia, Lithuania, and South Korea, and also in Germany, Norway, and Finland.

In the period between 2007 and 2011 in Seoul/ Korea, He began dancing on the street and established the basis of his authentic style upon the premise that the individual body is to move spontaneously for the attainment of its freedom of movement, derived from the radical questions on dance: What is dance? Why do humans dance? What is it to restrict freedom of movement?

In 2012, he moved to Berlin in Germany, which facilitated him to refine his movement language with support from various artists residencies in Germany, Italy, Portugal, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, and the USA.

His dance work has been performed in Tanztage Berlin 2014, Moving Poets Berlin (DE) – Charlotte (US) 2013-2015 with Till Schmidt Rimpler: a former principal at a Dutch National Opera & North Carolina Theater, Urban Poetry in Riga/ Latvia in 2015, and so on.

Currently, he lives in Helsinki/ Finland with his wife and focuses on writing the book regarding his physical education/ training method, based on the analyses of the movements of the past participants in his project.
